Highlights from the National 7-on-7 Tournament

 Hawks Make Horizon, the Broncos and the State Proud!

The Hawks(Broncos) entered the 2nd day of pool play with a record of 4-1.  They had two more pool play games before seeding for the bracket play began.  They lost a very close first game on Saturday to the St. Louis Rams and then bounced back to defeat the San Francisco 49′ers to enter bracket play with a record of 5-2.

They were the #1 seed in the AFC West bracket and defeated the San Diego Chargers in a hotly contested battle which led them to a showdown with the very athletic and highly regarded Oakland Raiders.  The Raiders were looking for some revenge as they had lost to our boys the previous day.  The Hawks(Broncos) took it to the Raiders and advanced to the Elite 8.

In the first game of the Elite 8, they played the Cincinnati Bengals All Star Team.  They played their hearts out but ultimately lost to the Bengals to end their quest to be National 7-on-7 Champs.

VOLUNTEERS

Parents who may be interested in volunteering with our program, we have several opportunities including, but not limited to:  Team meals the night before varsity games, concessions at lower level home games, parent night (Last home game), end of season banquet.  If we are to continue these traditions, we must begin planning immediately.  Please contact Coach Ybarra or Lonnie David (hawkpridefootball@gmail.com) if interested.
